Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From corporate headquarters: 'The chicken at all GYG restaurants is Halal certified - a copy of the certificate can be emailed upon request. We do have Halal certified chicken across all our locations. We do however work with other non-Halal meats and we do not follow halal processes in the kitchen.'
We recently visited Guzman y Gomez during our day out at Manly Wharf. The food tasted good and the service was decent overall. However, the dining area and ambiance could have been maintained much better. Many tables were left messy with trash around, and pigeons constantly roaming near the seating area affected the experience. Hoping they improve the cleanliness and upkeep because the food itself was enjoyable.
