Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From corporate headquarters: 'The chicken at all GYG restaurants is Halal certified - a copy of the certificate can be emailed upon request. We do have Halal certified chicken across all our locations. We do however work with other non-Halal meats and we do not follow halal processes in the kitchen.'
I previously left a comment about a Guzman y Gomez location where I wasn’t satisfied with my crispy chicken tender taco order, both in-store and with delivery. However, I wanted to highlight that the Mosman location is the best one I’ve tried so far. The quality is much better: the taco is well served, the tender is large, juicy, and noticeably different from other places (I’m not sure who supplies it, but it really makes a difference). They are very attentive to orders, the portion size is generous, and it’s not just tortilla, it’s properly filled with a good amount of tasty, well-made chicken. Really delicious and consistently well done.
