Good service, nice food, chops for starters could have been better, quite bony and chewy meat, other than this the meal was good. a really big restaurant and they don\'t serve alcohol which is nice. service was swift
This was my first restaurant to go to and I went with my family and I expected to spend a lot of money especially when it was 8 of us there but I didn\'t! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone because they seem to have a variety of Indian food including seafood, drinks and a range of deserts. They are halal! We ordered a meat platter and some fries for starter, for main we ordered 2 different curries with naan and for desert we all had individual ideas such as ice cream and cheesecakes. The only bad thing about the restaurant was that when we ordered our main we had a rice course that we never got and we also ordered 2 more drinks but never got that and they tried to charge us for that but luckily we noticed it and the staff changed it. But I think they must have forgotten to get it for us since it was really busy and they had a large birthday party come in. I think they charge a bit too much for drinks since we ordered drinks by glass like pepsi and they charged us £2 for each glass. Overall, I think it\'s a good restaurant, for everything we ordered we spent like nearly £128 which isn\'t bad! I love it and so did my family members and we will come back in probably for EID!
Surprised there isn't a review of this place already on this site. Fantastic looking place. Very professional service. Excellent food. Prices are inexpensive - I've been to worse places that charge more. I would compare this to Akbars on Hagley Road, but without the alcohol and non-Muslim clientéle. Since Zauq (Sparkhill, Birmingham) closed down earlier this year, this is currently my favourite restaurant in Birmingham for Indian food.
We had first ordered our drinks and starters. We oddly were not allowed to have a jug of water and had to buy a bottle of water multiple times. The starters were nice but very pricey for such a small plate. Lamb sheesh kabab was very spicy all the rest of the starters were fine. Papri chaat was really nice. Curries were nice to. Aloo parata was good however keema naan was more dough than keema and it lacked flavour. Karak tea was not my cup of tea, wouldn’t try again.
