Visited Urban Kitchen with my partner as a bit of a hangover breakfast cure 🥓☕ and overall it was a really nice experience…. But. The café itself is very clean, modern and has a bit of a niche feel to it definitely somewhere that feels a little more unusual than your standard breakfast spot. The location is great and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food came out piping hot and the portions were okay. My partner had the English breakfast which looked great, and I asked if they could swap things around and make me more of a chicken salad instead of a traditional breakfast, which they were happy to accommodate. Always appreciate when somewhere is flexible like that 🙌 (I have dietary requirements to the certain things I can’t have, but still like to eat out with my partner) The lady who served us really made the experience she was super friendly, attentive and welcoming, which always makes such a difference. The only slight downside for me was the price. It was £40+ for the English breakfast, Coke, juice and a salad which felt a little pricey for what it was. The food was good, but for that price I’m not sure I’d rush back. That said, it’s still a lovely, clean café with friendly service 🍳✨
