We were walking around Chinatown for some fabric shopping (and other random shopping) and were starving just before lunch. A quick google search after shopping showed us that this is the nearest local (i.e. thai) halal food from where we were.. and we had to walk for roughly 20-25mins to get here. Was a little apprehensive walking as we were definitely walking through a local thai neighboorhood/scene for 25 mins, with the knowledge that the information I found was out dated/incorrect etc. SO HAPPY to find that the address is accurate, google map brought us there after half an hour of sweating through the heat. First impressions (feeling abit silly for not taking photos, we were hungry and keen to get out of the sun), small shop, no airconditioning - nitty gritty street food just the way we like it. There was a halal sign/sticker, double confirmed halal food with the waiter, and saw a lady across our table (headscarfed, possibly local) eating some really delicious looking pad thai. TWO padthais for us tourists too and if you're facing back, you can see the wok roaring at the back of the shop after our orders were taken. Verdict: BEST streetfood padthai in that trip, the half hour trek was well worth it. And I am happy to share a photo of our food with complimentary salad. We took a cab back to the hotel right after, tummies feeling satisfied.

dropped in this unsuspecting place that locals eat at. just two or three dishes no real menu but the food was good and dirt cheap! They had some islamic stickers in the window and so i really didn\'t question them about the food.Friendly folks.
