I am local people. Please never go to any restaurant in Thailand which the owner is not muslim because you can never get halal food even though it seems to be halal. They always put some stock which is always made up of either pork or chicken bone in almost any dish such as stir fry vegetable, stir fry curry crab etc. They definitely put some pork's fat(tallow) in steamed fish menu.

DO NOT GO to this restaurant ! the price was very expensive and will rip you off ! we were initially wanted to go to Mak Yah restaurant (famous for serving halal food in bangkok) but the taxi driver whom we met on our way out from the hotel recommended this restaurant instead. the total bill for our dinner that nite came about THB4,800 for five people which was super expensive. they even claimed 7% for VAT and 10% for service charge (but did not state clearly what was the exact amount). after came back from our trip, we googled about this restaurant and turned out that it was very notorious for taxis and tuk-tuks scams in Bangkok where they will bring you here and will get paid by the restaurant owner. we suspected that the 17% extra we paid went to the taxi driver. taking taxi on our way back from this restaurant to our hotel was also a nightmare because the taxi (diff taxi this time) persuaded to bring us to another restaurant, tailor shop etc despite our protest. the area around this restaurant was dark and it is advisable not to go here at night especially if you are traveling alone or a lady. food-wise, it was mediocre. the steamed fish we had still had fishy smell and it was not fresh. the garlic and butter prawn that we had did not taste very well too. however, service was fast and the waiters were very attentive.
