The Kebab Shop is based on a concept popularized throughout Europe. Kebab shops are as prevalent there as burger joints are in the USA. If you've never been to a kebab shop in Europe, you'll have to stop in and experience what you've been missing. You'll find a delicious array of slowly cooked rotisserie meats and made-to-order grilled meats, seafood, and veggies. In addition, our 11 freshly prepared Mediterranean inspired salads and Crispy Falafel, Golden Fries and Saffron Rice will complement your cravings. Our menu appears deceptively simple but is purposely designed to provide you the freedom to decide exactly how you want your meal made. We offer all of this in a comfortable setting with courteous staff so you can gather with your family and friends and share a great meal together.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From the management: 'Bay Area locations have halal carved chicken, halal carved lamb and beef, and halal grilled chicken kebab. San Diego, LA, Austin, and Orange County locations have halal carved lamb and beef. We understand and respect that the issue of Halal food can be quite complex, and there are a range of opinions surrounding this issue. Our goal is to be open and transparent so you can make an informed decision on whether to dine with us. Please note that we serve non-Halal meats and sell alcohol.'
Score reflects a halal certificate on file.
I used to eat from this place before they serve alcohol. Food is good. I am not sure Halal authenticity of this place. Whatever mentioned under Quick Facts above is WRO NG. Kebab shop is NOT alcohol free. they do serve alcohol. Thanks.
Their falafels are tasty and moist inside. The lamb is seasoned nicely. The steak was slightly dry, but the Caesar Crunch bowl is good. The Shrimp Greens bowl was okay. I had to add some extra sauces to make it right for me. We ordered and somehow the guy didn’t hear me order the shrimp bowl. Someone that ordered after us got his food. Then the steak bowl came. I was sitting there with sauces lined up next to me ready to eat but my bowl didn’t come. I asked when it would be ready and he said he didn’t put in that order. He did offer a side of lamb and falafels for the mistake. That’s when I found out their falafels are tasty and the lamb is worth coming back to try with a meal.
