The person who decorated this place deserves a medal. I mean, these people went above and beyond to create just an absolutely lovely restaurant -- if you live within half an hour of this place, check it out. It really is immaculately designed; I\'ve never seen a place quite like it. They also have an incredibly diverse menu. Most halal desi places I\'ve been to have more or less the same menu. This place has all sorts of things I\'ve never heard of. I\'m eager to go back. Despite the above, I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 for four reasons. First, and this may just be an idiosyncrasy of mine, it bothers me when there is no reference to \"halal\" anywhere in the restaurant or the restaurant\'s menu. Here, the person taking my order did verbally confirm the place was halal, but I would just feel more comfortable with some signage. Second, and related to the first, this place DOES, in fact, serve alcohol. The fact that the place both serves alcohol and doesn\'t advertise it\'s halal gives me some pause. Third, it\'s a bit pricey -- their chicken tikka masala lunch special cost over $15 (with tax), and would have been right around $20 with an order of garlic naan (which is $3.99 here). In no world should a place charge $20 for a lunch special with a side of garlic naan. Finally, while their chicken tikka masala was good, it wasn\'t the best I\'ve ever had. Still, assuming this place is halal, I would definitely come back here again. I want to try their dosas next.
