the restaurant wasn't good, i wouldn't eat there again, i didn't even finish my food, but the meat shop is excellent
Very good grocery... Never tried the meat shop or the restaurant inside... But definitely one of the best Halal groceries around. Clean and spacious. I live downtown and that is the only reason why it is not my first choice.. Because it is quite far away. Otherwise if you live close to it... Give them a try you wont regret it.
Popped into Silk Road Foods for the first time recently and had a solid experience. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and general groceries. It has variety of nuts , middle eastern tea, coffees and spreads. I found Asian stuffs as well which do the trick to me. Everything in the aisles seemed well-stocked and like a good choice for daily cooking. They have a great selection of Ramadan essentials right now, which is super convenient. I was surprised to find they actually have a prayer room and a washroom inside for customers to use—definitely a thoughtful touch. Overall, it’s a good local market. I haven't tried the poultry section yet, so I can’t speak to that, but for dry goods and produce, it does the trick. It’s not "mind-blowing," but it’s a very dependable shop. I’d definitely go back.
