Nando's

Good food, served in a timely fashion. Clean and prompt service. Chicken is always well cooked but it is a little pricey.

I love Nandos, and eat at the one in Mississauga often. This one was an abomination. When we arrived, they said that they ran out of chicken -- someone called and ordered all of it. They had "just enough" for one more full chicken, which we ordered. The garlic bread was drenched in oil. When we complained, they said "that's how it's supposed to be." Completely unappetizing. They eventually replaced it with two plain buns. The rice was partly gummed and stuck together, as if it was scraped from the bottom of the pot. The chicken was the only good part. Even the garlic and herb sauce was quite hot -- my kids (4 and 1) were not amused. If I was not already a Nando's fan, I would probably eschew the chain entirely. It's just one branch.

Love love love Nandos. My kids love it. Good to know about the portuguese buns. I never thought to ask of its halal. I'm surprised it has lard. Will ask next time.

Went to the newly renovated West-end location. It looks ten times much better - very bright and nicely decorated. However the new thing is when you order at the cash register, there is alcohol right there in front of you and personally I don't trust halal authenticity of any place that sells alcohol.

Salam Alaykum, We tried this place last week-end on our way back home. The food is simply amazing and clean mash Allah. If you're in the area, you gotta try Nando's. Best food, good service and clean place.

Im always stuffed after eating at Nandos. The chicken breast meal is my favorites. This location was clean with friendly staff.

The food is ok...To be honest, its not extra ordinarary, and a little pricey....But good to go once in a while for a change.....

Excellent chicken, nice and clean atmosphere, checked with the staff for the buns which are now halal. Must also try humus and salads. My family's favorite pick.

I send and email to Nando's and here is the response: "All the chicken in Ontario is Halal, so no need for you to make a special request."

Good food. The half chicken plate has a very large portion and is very tasty. If you order your food "hot," it may be too spicy. I recommend Medium spicy. Good, clean environment and kid friendly.

Though they dont have Halal certification on display, they have gladly shown it a letter to me couple everytime I have asked for it. The letter indicates that all Nanados resturants in Ontario are to serve halal chicken. They also confirmed that the burgers/buns are no halal. The food, ofcourse, needs no comments. It simply tastes great! They are a little bit on the pricey side though (the prices have increased at the new location)..Expect about $10+ per person.

Alhamdulillah, the Nando's is now open at it's new location (Merivale and Baseline). The food is just as good as before (maybe even a little better!) Prices are pretty reasonable for what you're getting. The quality of the chicken is very good, and the taste reflects this. I can't get enough of the Peri-Peri sauce, and if you're like me, you'll end up buying a bottle of the stuff for home. Only word of warning is to be careful when you get some of the combo's... the "Portuguese Buns" have lard... explain to them that you're Muslim, and they will usually substitute it for something else! Though the new location is further from my house, I will Insha'Allah make this a regular part of my eat-out/take-out rotation.
