Very nice "off the beaten track" restaurant. Good food, nice staff, who leave plenty of time between courses, if required. No rushing you here.
This has to be the worst place I have ever had a curry ,the food is terrible. Don't even give it a try ..I did and asked for a delivery , fine arrived on time and went straight in the bin. Not freshly cooked. tasted of powdered spices Total disgrace to Indian cooking
Went yesterday early evening, quite a few people in, there were 3 in our party. Soon as you walk in the beautiful aroma gets you all excited, the restaurant was well staffed with the usual music in the background, we all had a poppadom each with onion salad & chutney accompaniments. For starters I had sheikh kebabs and they were absolutely fantastic full of flavour that could only mean that all the ingredients were fresh. For my main I had chicken & kheema madras with pilau rice, with a buttered chapatti. Again everything was freshly prepared and the portions were generous. It would be wise to book in advance over the weekend as it's a cosy restaurant, has a car park & you can bring your own booze. Overall it's a great Indian restaurant that's welcoming with freshly prepared food and reasonably priced.
Friendly staff, starters are great, main courses are ok if you let them know how you like your food, the half curry is great if you fancy a night out but not the doggy bag at the end of the night, only bad point is the lighting inside is a bit poor and low for my liking,
Visited thanks to Tesco vouchers. Nice curry and can take your own alcohol. Nice and cosy inside. Looking forward to going again.
