I came here yesterday and greeted the guy behind the counter with Salaam and he did not reply. I did not see any halal sign so I asked the guy if all items are halal and he answered that he doesn't know because he just works here but he can give me the owner's number to confirm.
Chaat and gol gappay were awesome. Chicken biryani was stale and just microwaved.
Best dhai bhalay, gol guppays, and chaats! Every time I drive through Philly this is a MUST stop! Reminds me of bck home lahori food, reasonable prices, and a very friendly atmosphere!
This place is very clean, Nicely decorated- it is rare to see such organized corner eat in/take out place. There is variety of chats- we had dahi bhalay and samoosa chaat, liked it-will go again
Ordered Papri Chaat, Mango Lassi. Absolutely devine. The owner Syed Hussain was extremely helpful. If you want to try something different from the run-of-the-mill Pakistani/Indian food joints, this is the place! Top marks from me. P.S. The hot chaats are hot!
Very cute little shop just a few blocks away from the VA Hospital. Street parking is available. Excellent desi chaats, samosas with ice cream (kulfi) and other desserts for sale. Not much seating (only 2 tables) but the reasonable prices and great quality make it worth the trip!
Nice chaats. Small place to sit. But good variety of chaats.
I find this place very friendly, welcoming and delish! The food is very authentic tasting with not a lot of fuss but most importantly GOOD! The prices are very affordable as well...great for anyone on a budget!
This place is crazy! All kinds of snacks, desserts and hot food. Their chat is really good. You can ask for it mild or spicy. I told the brother to make it desi spicy and it was just right! Also tried the ice cream on the insistence of others, and it was pretty good. Nice little snack spot. I recommend.
Good dessert spot - pan ice cream tastes better than it sounds.
Owner seemed very friendly, and Chaats were very delicious. i am waiting for summer to try their Lahori style falooda.
Have been eating here for months. Owner is extremely friendly and accomodating. The place is very clean. There is also some seating outside which is great on a sunny day. Very innovative choices in Chaat like lamb and chicken Chaat. In summer they made Mithai and Paan flavored ice creams which were outstanding. Highly recommend this for anyone in the Philly downtown/Penn campus area.
