Despite its name, Kilimanjaro is a Senegalese restaurant. It is a small space that fills up quickly, and I noticed many people coming in for takeout orders. We ordered the whole fried snapper with onions, a side of grilled mixed vegetables, plain ginger juice, and strawberry ginger juice. The fish was delicious and the perfect size for two people. The grilled vegetables weren\'t particularly exciting (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans), but they tasted good with the fish. Both ginger juices were fresh and very tasty. The service is indeed slow, as other reviewers have mentioned, so don\'t go there if you\'re looking for a quick meal. It is cash only, so be sure to bring cash with you.

Amazing, tasty and fresh food. You MUST try the Poulet Senegalais (Senegalese chicken) so tender and the caramelized onions are delicous! Great discovery tonight! Also the ambiance is very laid-back with African music. Only shadow, if you plan to go there in group, you may need to make a reservation cause the place is a little small.

The Dibi lamb and Poulet Senegal are amazing! The fried rice and ginger juice is good too. Most of the entrees are between $10 - 12 with good portions; very reasonable overall.

Kilimanjaro is a family run restaurant in every facet. A brother and sister started the restaurant and are its two cooks while others in the family handle service and the register outside. The food is expensive, but the servings are extremely generous. For the price, I would expect the restaurant to be twice as expensive and in Times Square.

The food is tasty, a bit high priced for the area IMO, $15 a head is what you pay
