Best place to get Kebabs on Soho Rd. Freshly grilled in front of you, I would also recommend the lamb chops.
Staff aren’t the friendliest. Prices are crazy. Not sure how they’re still so busy. Food has gone downhill, kebabs get smaller every time I go. Naans are rock hard. It’s not good value for money any more, prices have gone sky high and the food quality isn’t what it used to be. Really disappointing. You can’t justify those prices if the food isn’t 5* anymore.
Had been recommended this place by a friend. Unfortunately had to wait 50mins for just five naan kebabs. Not sure why it took so long. Kebabs were small. Had better elsewhere. The sauces are all watered down. Need more attention to cleaning up and to give a better customer experience. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place.
I recently visited Shahi Naan Kebab House, I had heard very good reviews about the food and here’s my honest take on the dishes I tried: 1. Mutton Tikka - Must try ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ While the mutton tikka was flavorful and well-cooked, the portion size was quite underwhelming for the price. It felt too expensive considering the quantity served. Definitely tasty and a must try, but the value-for-money aspect needs improvement. 2. Biryani - you cannot miss it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The biryani was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The spices were well-balanced, and each bite was satisfying. Despite the slightly high price for the quantity, the taste makes it a must-try for anyone visiting. 3. Kebab Naan- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( must try ) The kebab naan was a pleasant surprise. Juicy kebabs wrapped in soft, fresh naan — it hit the spot! Unlike the tikka, this dish was both tasty and worth the money. A good choice if you want something filling and flavorful. 4. Haleem - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( must try ) The haleem was outstanding. It had the right consistency, packed with flavor, and felt like a comforting, wholesome dish. One of the highlights of the meal, and definitely worth the price. Highly recommended!
Been eating from here for many a year On this occasion ordered some sheekh kebab on naan, fries and some mutton tikka Mutton tikka was packed full of flavour 👌 💯 🔥 , absolutely mouthwatering, bite after bite it had my taste buds tingling Sheekh kebabs are on s a different level to all other places, always on point, absolutely banging as always 🔥🔥🔥 My personal opinion the sheekh kebabs are the best in Birmingham Definitely RECOMMEND this place for their mutton tikka and sheekh kebabs
The window display suggests the best kebabs in town but are they actually the best kebabs in town? Read on to find out what this layperson thinks! Having dropped my party off outside, I headed off to find adequate parking on a Saturday evening. I gave up hope looking for street parking so reluctantly parked my car at a pay and display car park about 5 mins away. The walk on the way back is good if you have over eaten like I did so it could be a plus point! Anyways we ordered our food with specific instructions however as this being a one waiter joint, those instructions were not followed by the 3 men in the kitchen who must have been occupied perfecting the kebabs. When the kebabs arrived, they were fresh and looked appetising. Resting on a fluffy naan, I poured some sauces to the side and tore off a piece of naan along with a kebab. Taking a bite, I was quite surprised at how good these kebabs tasted. It’s not common to find a place to serve up good naans but Shahi Naan did their best which was good enough. I was glad I ordered the large which comes with 3 kebabs as opposed to the miserly small portion of 2. If you couldn’t see or hear the rain outside, you could convince yourself you were sitting in a restaurant in the heart of Pakistan with the interior to match any place in our homeland. After indulging myself, I was tempted to order another one but my head outfought my stomach this time so I did not bother. The waiter was apologetic at the end that the specific instructions were not followed but with the Britishness in me, I was the one who apologised to him for giving him such difficult or any instructions at all. All in all, I would say it is hard to argue against their motto of being the best kebabs in town. Therefore you can safely put the phone down to Trading Regulations as there is no doubt.
