Erdington branch is crap. Not quite off the boat, but off the dingy. The puka pies are not halal, so don't know why they are sold as such. Come on guys, fingers out and get improving.

Agree with what eijaz2006 posted last year. Big Johns could have had a niche market. They could have been the flagship for halal fast food. Instead, it's disgraceful. The staff in just about every branch are clueless and fresh off the boat. They can't speak or understand English and assume that if you are brown you automatically speak Punjabi or Urdu. The food often looks and tastes like it should have been thrown away hours ago. The attitude of some of the staff - especially the Shirley branch could lead to them getting beaten up, or worse made to eat their own food - a fitting punishment in my opinion. Absolutely atrocious company. What a pity, they had potential and wasted it.

You want cheap ? Then expect cheap and greasy low quality food then. You pay for what you get. As for the pizza's they even cut the pepperoni in half to put on your pizzas how low can you get Big John's !

This has to be one of the worst fast food joints I have visited. I first visited the one in acocks green a few years ago. Found it to be dirty and as for the food awful dry re-fried chips. Thought this was just the one branch and since visited branches in Selly oak and their drive thru in Bordesley. Went into Bordesley branch absolutely starving, the chips were so dry and awful had to leave them, never did that in my life as I hate wasting food. If you want tasteless, dry fast food served very poorly, Try Big johns. You want be disappointed.

This serves british food isant that meant to be bland? I love big johns getting your fresh crispy fish n chips and it's all halal on Fridays it's just 99p all day comon us Muslims have such a good deal going on when I live in Scotland we had to travel 10 miles to the closest halal chippy and pay £5.95 for a fish supper! Appreciate what you have got! Thank Allah for always providing!

It's such a shame some guys with money but no taste, to serve good quality food. I just go for convience When I'm really hungry and can't find somewhere closer. I'm just disapointed that big john could have been the flagship of Asian fast food, a brand that possibly could have taken on mcdonalds. Food is really bland, and doesn't look quality at all. I hope they learn, toilets and restaurant not always clean such a shame. Then again it's busy so must be people like it so there is enough clients for this type of food not for us critics.
