one of the first Big Johns i tried. poor food. problem with big johns is that most items are made and then sat in food warming cabinets. so food dries out.
Always stop at Big Johns on the way to my friends house from One Stop. We get chips, milkshakes, donner burgers, chicken burgers and she sometimes gets pizza. Everything is delicious and great prices. Love Big Johns!
Firstly I would give 0 stars if I could!! I ordered from Big John’s through Uber Eats and I am absolutely disgusted. The food arrived sealed shut and the driver clearly did not open or tamper with it, so this was entirely an issue from the restaurant. While eating, I found a human nail in my food. This is completely unhygienic, unacceptable, and beyond disgusting. It’s a serious food safety concern. Staff clearly need proper food hygiene and safety training, and management seriously need to sort themselves out. The lack of care and standards is shocking. I will never be ordering from here again. Horrible restaurant.
I’ve been ordering from or visiting this Big John’s location at least once a month for a while now. They have a massive menu with plenty of variety, but I’ve found that I definitely have the best experience when I stick to my regular choices. It has become a reliable staple for me when I want a consistent and satisfying meal. Pros- My go-to order is the 9-inch Tandoori Pizza and the Chicken Dippers. The pizza is consistently great—the flavors are bold, the toppings are generous, and it’s always cooked well with a perfect crust. The chicken dippers are also a solid choice and absolutelytasty,A reliable choice for a quick, tasty meal. One of the biggest plus points for this specific branch is that it is decently priced, offering great value for the quality. Cons- The only real "con" I’ve found is the inconsistency when using third-party delivery apps. It is much better to order from the Big John app itself. The price is exactly the same as in-store, which saves you money compared to other apps like Deliveroo, Uber Eats, or Just Eat that have high markups. Plus, the food usually arrives fresher and tastes better when you skip the middleman! Also on the app there is a reward system which can come in handy on a rainy day!
Ordered the “peri peri” burger. Peri peri is normally associated with a marinade or a saucy aspect. However in this case it was very dry, very poor quality and taste. The fact that it also costs 50p extra than a normal chicken burger is beyond me. Customer service is also appalling. I had a hair in my previous order and called up customer service who then advised me to go back to the store despite living outside of the city.
Eat-in services are not suitable at all. Even on the day I visited, it was extremely cold, and the hall heating was probably not even turned on. “Even when I placed my order for dine-in, they gave me a takeaway parcel. When I told them that I wanted to eat in, they just handed me a one tray for 6 person along with the same parcel. For cleaning, there was man who was cleaning the tables and floor, and when a pizza order came in, the same person went to cut the pizza with the same gloves and the same clothes. The food quality is somewhat good and the environment is nice, but the service is not good at all.
We went here for a quick bite to eat and we were presently surprised. The choices of food was fantastic. It was like having a Macdonald's, KFC, Pizza hut and kebab house all in one. The service was quick and very good, all the food was very tasty and enjoyable and cheaper the Macdonald's and co. It's a shame they are only up north as we would love to have one in Cambridgeshire. #goodfood, #takeawayfood, #valueformoney
