About Tampopo
Tampopo offers halal chicken breast in all Wok-fried noodle and rice dishes, stir-fried specials, and sauce-based specials except Chicken Adobo. The name 'Tampopo' (actually a girl's name in Japanese meaning 'dandelion') is taken from the title of a Japanese film, a cult classic chronicling the quest for the perfect bowl of noodles by the eponymous heroine. The menu is composed from the best street food and signature dishes from across East Asia, faithful reproductions of classics free from gimmickry and interpretation.

Not quite 5 stars as not all the dishes are Halal, but great variety of pan-asian cuisine in a modern restaurant setting with a great atmosphere for dining. Service was quick and attentive, staff were happy to clarify halal options. Worth a visit.

Menu is about 80% halal, almost all the chicken dishes are halal. The staff actually bought a sheet that the chefs use which shows the ingredients and show what is Halal/ veg/contains nuts etc and so its not just word of mouth., but they do have one or two items that do have pork. Lovely deco, great atmosphere and in a lovely part of town. Service is excellent. They do cater for kids so thats nice. The dishes are varied and on the whole are nice, but not exceptional. Once again, I wish they would convert to a full halal menu to open themselves out completely.
