This is a Middle Eastern market, bakery, and restaurant. The market sells a wide assortment of Middle Eastern/Turkish/Greek/Eastern European goods, including cheese, halal meat, produce, etc. The in-house bakery sells cookies, baklava, pita bread, and more. The restaurant serves Middle Eastern fare (shawarma, falafel, kibbeh, kabobs, triangle pies, appetizers, salads, etc) and is self-service with about 6 tables with seating for ~15. Staff assured the entire menu at the restaurant is halal. Sandwiches range in price from $5 to $7, with plates from $7-9. There is a small lot for parking and street parking is also available, but in this part of Worcester, you should take the Corolla and leave the Rolls Royce Phantom I at home. This reviewer has been to Bahnan's Cafe a few times, and the food has been consistently very good. Recommended is the chicken shawarma plate, which has a large portion of perfectly cooked chicken shawarma, rice, and fattoush for $9. You can visit the bakery on your way out for dessert... the made-in-house freshly-baked baklava is decent, with 5 pieces (0.5lbs.) for ~$5. This is an excellent place for lunch or an early dinner (note hours before going).

Good food but don't know about the staff! Don't know if there true Muslims but my wife went there to buy a few items and the male employee just kept hitting in her and stocking her several accessions! She is wearing a hijab and properly dressed. Well I stopped going there because I don't enjoy that type of service and not only that people pipe smoke outside the store /cafe.

This place is a one stop shop for your middle eastern needs. Find a a variety of bakery items, spices, cheeses, soujouks, gifts and a small take out resturant serving sandwiches (shawarma, falafel and koufte) and kibbe. Staff verbally assured us, the sandwiches are zabihah halal.
