Lil M's Mart

This is a small Middle Eastern cafe/store with counter service for a pretty typical Middle Eastern cafe/store menu: sandwiches, appetizers, salads, soup, and more. The owners verbally assured me the meat was halal. The cafe has five tables with seating for about ten people. Check the Facebook page for more accurate timings. There is plenty of parking available in the lot in boring Northborough, so go ahead and bring the E30 BMW M3. This reviewer has been to this restaurant a couple times, though his memory of earlier visits have faded. This time he had a spicy chicken shawarma sandwich ($7) and was pleased to find karkade (hibiscus flowers for tea) in the grocery section. There were no shawarma spits/ovens in the restaurant, and, as expected, the "shawarma" chicken was probably baked. No matter as it was still tasty, and the fresh tabbouleh and toppings in the sandwich were excellent. This restaurant definitely deserves further exploration and makes for a great place to get lunch/take-out/Egyptian kitsch. Catering is available.

Asalaamu-alaikum Discovered this deli a few months ago. I have been missing out! The food and salads are excellent. Love the tabouleh salad! Owners are very kind and gracious. Owner assured me that all meat was zabihah halal.
