This place is halal and the location is 5 star but the food is average at best and is too expensive. It took too long and was not even busy. Be prepared to smother your food in sauces because it has no flavor. The guy who took my order said I could substitute falafel pieces for rice but the cashier then charged me an extra dollar. Communication breakdown? I Ended up paying $15 for a chicken shish plate that was average. I had to drink water to save money. I Probably won't be back. I do not recommend this place.

I like the owner/chef in this place. They are super nice and friendly. They offer tea after our meal sometimes. As someone else mentioned halal food in downtown palo alto is great. They are open till midnight which is huge + and they are open when you're lonely on thanksgiving, christmas eve, ... . The food is good enough but not the best I've had. If the Gyro is fresh it's really good. Kababs plates are very good too.

Management was extremely nice, and allowed us to pray downstairs upon request. They even offered to reheat our food after we finished praying. I trust that the food was halal.

Ok, so first of all, to find a halal place in such a gorgeous downtown area is enough for me! Better yet, the food was fresh and tasty and service was good. Can't say it was authentic Turkish though as categorized on Zabihah but more of a mediterranean mix. Still, worth visiting!

I have no doubt about the halal-ness of the place. The food was very bland. You need to add plenty of their spicy sauce. Once you add that, it tastes very nice. I normally have the chicken gyro plate and the rice that they serve, once mixed with the chicken + the spicy sauce) is a potent combination, at least to my taste. The food is served very quickly and you can pretty much in-and-out within 30 mins if you're in a rush for lunch.

this place is average. I had the Adana kabab wrap. Meat was skimpy and taste was bland.

Tried the lamb/beef gyro for take-out. It was okay. The sauce was on the "tangy" side (perhaps because of the yogurt), and it was not spicy at all. The portion was a good size though. My wife and I also ate dinner in the restaurant another time, and again the food was not spicy enough (for our desi standards), but the portions were good and the service was very friendly. The owner also gave us complimentary hot tea at the end...very good! Try the baklava for dessert.

Nice decor and restaurant, and nice people too. The food is only okay: I've never had the desire to return there after my two trips.

The owner, Ahmed, assured me the food is halal. I had the beef kabob, it was very good, alhamdulillah.
