Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From corporate headquarters: 'The chicken at all GYG restaurants is Halal certified - a copy of the certificate can be emailed upon request. We do have Halal certified chicken across all our locations. We do however work with other non-Halal meats and we do not follow halal processes in the kitchen.'
Food was excellent, but I don’t think guacamole belongs in ANY burrito. That might just be me tho. It kicks out the flavour. Other than that, I arrived 9 minutes before opening and obviously it was quiet so when they did open at 10:00, the lady who served me was lovely, asking me for my preferrences over the squeaking of the doors opening and repeating what the choices were (that was fun) and I enjoyed watching the prep of the food from the other side of the counter.
