Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From corporate headquarters: 'The chicken at all GYG restaurants is Halal certified - a copy of the certificate can be emailed upon request. We do have Halal certified chicken across all our locations. We do however work with other non-Halal meats.'

Honestly, this is the worst Guzman y Gomez I’ve ever been to. The quality was extremely disappointing and definitely not what you expect from the brand. The food was poorly prepared, and to make things worse, I found a hair in my nacho fries, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. It made me lose my appetite immediately. I asked for a replacement, but even that was disappointing — the new nacho fries had barely any sauce and lacked flavour, which just added to the frustration. This isn’t even a one-off experience. I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this location before, and it’s clear there are ongoing issues with both food quality and consistency. It really puts a bad name on Guzman y Gomez as a whole, because I know other locations can be much better. Basic cleanliness and food handling standards clearly aren’t being met here, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. I won’t be coming back unless serious improvements are made. Below are attached photos of the hair and the little splotch of sauce I got on my replacement.
