Yesterday, we went to Mak Halal in Wolverhampton. The night before, after work, I had also ordered food from the same branch, and the quality was very poor. When I placed my order yesterday, I informed the staff that I had experienced quality issues with my previous order as well. I work as a manager at KFC and have good knowledge of the fast-food industry. I am also a regular customer of Mak Halal and usually enjoy the food from the West Bromwich branch. However, the food served at the Wolverhampton branch appears to be cooked in very old and poor-quality oil, which is affecting the taste and overall quality of the food. We were very hungry and had already waited quite a long time for our order, so we ate the food despite the quality issues. Before leaving, I spoke to the staff again and explained that the oil being used seemed excessively old and dirty. Their response was to offer me something for free, but I was not looking for free food. My complaint was genuine and made solely because of the poor food quality. As a result of this experience, I do not intend to visit this branch again. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and does not ignore it, as issues like this can damage the reputation of what is otherwise a well-known and respected fast-food business.
