Stopped by Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken for their iconic Original Large Fried Chicken and yeah, it really is massive. Not quite the absolute monsters I’ve seen in Taiwan (on socials), but still bigger than my hand. Staff were pretty direct and to the point. You can order first and come back a little later to collect too, which is handy when it gets busy. There’s a small seating area off to the side if you want to dine in, but honestly most people seemed to just grab theirs and go. As for the chicken itself, the outside was ultra crispy and properly crunchy, while the inside stayed steaming hot, tender and juicy. It does come with bones though, so definitely watch your bite. Flavor wise, it’s salty, crispy and very satisfying if you’re craving Taiwanese fried chicken.
