We have ordered 2 Four treasure platters (duck, chicken, crispy pork and char siu pork) and the meat is one of the best we have had!! Absolutely recommended for people with big appetite like us. We have also ordered the French toast with butter, it’s filled with peanut butter, super recommended! Will definitely come back soon.
The Hong Kong-style curry beef brisket rice tastes authentic, rich in flavor and slightly sweet. The brisket is very soft and cooked, which is a good choice. The sweet and sour pork tastes good, but it is too sweet. The salt and pepper pork chop rice has less juice and is not enough to finish the whole dish. It pales in comparison.Generally speaking, there are not many choices of food, and the prices are not bad.
Genuinely my favourite place to eat in Birmingham. Went with my friends around 8pm on the 30th of Jan and once again Store 9 absolutely did not miss. I got the set meal with the daily soup, egg and bok choy and a three roast with extra char siu, crispy pork belly, and duck (make sure you get it with rice, it is superior). When I’m hungry I actually daydream about eating here and I’m not even exaggerating. The staff are super friendly, the place is always spotless, and the food is consistently insane. I live about 10-15 minutes away and I still feel lucky every time I come here because I never get bored of it. I’ve tried loads of places around Chinatown and honestly nothing else comes close. If you like roast meats and happiness, just come here.
I have come here four times when staying in Birmingham for work and every time I have really enjoyed the food and service. A very friendly service and they always suggest new dishes to try. My favourite is the meat combo deal as get a side and a soup. Really good value.
First time dining here and the food was fresh and of high quality. The iced red bean drink was delicious, the roast duck had wonderfully crispy skin, and the daily soup was rich and full of ingredients — clearly not made with MSG, as we didn’t feel thirsty afterwards. We’re already looking forward to coming back to try other dishes, especially the mango pomelo sago drink.
