M Joy is a delightful restaurant with exceptional lamb. The aromas are captivating when you walk in the door! Traditional dishes from Western China are delicious and will appeal to everyone who likes lamb. Everything is lovingly homemade from quality ingredients. Kinsey (not sure of the spelling) is a gracious host and attentive server. Seating is comfortable, with inside and outside tables. Presentation is nice with colorful sides in separate dishes and tea served in a stoneware pot. I can't wait to take my husband there this weekend
Very simple setting for such a delicious meal! The rest itself is small, bright and clean. You order using their QR code. The food itself was delicious! The lamb was so darn tender you just needed a fork. The seasonings were spot on yummy. We had the lamb served all three ways and honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them. I myself liked the grilled shank the best. Loved their dipping seasoning so much I wanted to take it home! Don’t forget to wash down your meal with their tea and for sure try their yogurt. The yogurt was just the right texture and sweetness!
Was refused to dine in at 18:25 when their closing time is 19:00. If you don’t accept guest at 18:25, say you are closed at 18:25! People come a long way here not to get disappointed!!
Pure NZ meats
I ordered takeout and got three lamb chops, but I was really disappointed with the quality. Two of the chops were almost entirely fat and skin, with very little actual meat—definitely not worth the price. The flavor was good.
So delicious! The mutton is tender and the lamb chops are fragrant. Although the rice is a bit salty, it goes well with the light lamb.
