Not the same as the Lowell branch which has superior butter chicken as well as better dishes over all. Here the \'butter chicken\' was 90% tomato and 10% butter felt like eating tomato soup

Not too bad biryani for the price, and probably the best in the central mass area (unfortunately). Food was pretty OK, but well enough to warrant us to return (though we haven\'t yet). Place is OK, kinda like a 2.5-3-star hotel quality/ambience. People were nice, tho order did take a while so probably not best to come while starving.

This is a full-service (or take-out) Hyderabadi/Indian chain restaurant with a menu yelling an unattributed quote, "'WE USE HALAL MEAT FOR ALL OUR PREPARATIONS.'" Verbal assurance was given that all meat is halal, and the supplier is stated to be someone in Needham. Sounds legit. The restaurant is neat and clean with approximately 10 tables and a decreed maximum occupancy of 54. Plenty of parking is available, so go ahead and bring the 1948 Tucker. A drive-through (this used to be a Dunkin' Donuts) is available for curry in a hurry (call ahead with your order, this isn't fast food). Ignore the hours posted here on zabihah.com, consult the website for the opening and closing times. This reviewer has been to this restaurant once. Curious about the possibility of novel fusion cuisine, he was disappointed in not finding masala lattes or chocolate munchkin chaat. The menu is fairly standard North Indian, with a nod to Desi-Chinese (this and that 65/Manchurian). This restaurant's motto is "redefining spicy food" and it certainly did with the chicken biryani this reviewer sampled. Simply, this biryani was impressively flavorless. The flavor, well there was mild heat and... nothing else. The chicken appeared to be have been tossed in as an afterthought at the end and had an incredible blandness. The raita and other condiment served with the biryani had off-flavors that evoked in this reviewer memories of why he avoids most Indian restaurants. It takes effort to make biryani this badly. Biryani, a benchmark of an Indian restaurant, of this quality is inexcusable. With sadness, this reviewer gives two stars to this restaurant and will not bother trying to find redemption in the rest of the menu.
