As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections. Due to the excellent success in quality and services, Sam has opened several Osmow's locations.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. The owner of Osmow's and the employees say the food is Halal, but they have not taken the initiative to put it on the board outside, or on the menu, nor do they have a Halal certificate.
Score reflects a halal certificate on file, with an active issue report under review.
Pretty bad experience: 1. My large order had a lot of missing items. 2. Management was a mess; five persons don't know what they are doing. 3. Halal certificate was shown buy in French and when I asked follow up questions, the girl avoid answering. 4. Liquor is served 5. Good was so so; expensive, salad was so soggy, oily, and dark as if it was made a long time ago. 6. Place is so unhealthy; smelly, sticky, and dirty tables-windows-toilet. Location: lakeshore, Mississauga
The quality seems to be degrading at streetsville exponentially, as the popularity with students has grown. I was there Jan 2015 and the portion they gave me was less than a kids meal. This is not owned or operated by brothers, though the staff is arabic speaking. Not going there anymore, they were only good for the large portions which is no longer the case. Also wait time is minimum 30min and location crowded
no trace of where meat is obtained. on top of that alcohol is served. not trustable take caution
I recently visited this shawarma spot and was pleased with the overall service experience. The staff friendly and welcoming. They were attentive and quick to assist, which definitely stood out. However, when it came to the food itself, I found it to be quite mediocre. I got 6 falafels to try and a small portion of just chicken shawarma. The flavors were somewhat bland and lacked the robust seasoning and freshness. While the experience was pleasant thanks to the staff, the food unfortunately did not match up. I would recommend this place if customer service is a priority for you, but be prepared for an average meal.
