This is the best afghan food restaurant in NYC, I pick different items but never been disappointed, prices very reasonable and it is halal food, don't confuse this with the other Bakhtar restaurant in fresh meadows.

Great food, service can be faster but owner is nice friendly guy. Good prices and very good serving size. We usually get the chicken kabab and kofta with rice/kabuli, its always good and we're regulars now.

I have been going to this place for couple of years food was very nice but since last six months I feel like they microwave their plater put front of us. They don't have rush anymore looks like not providing same quality

Afghani food here is great, the white sauce is amazing with their flavored chicken kabobs. Go here almost once a week. They have a good portion size and price is perfect for the platter making it affordable and tasty.

I went with a large party. The service was awful. They had only one guy taking orders from almost 20 people, so naturally there were errors made with the orders. The food is okay at best. Portion size is huge, but their rice is oily and beef tikkas lack flavor. The chicken tikka tastes decent but again there is a good amount of oil coating the meat. The chicken nuggets are good, they aren't really nuggets, they are just pieces of chicken tikkas with a batter coating and deep fried. Overall, food was not mind blowing and service needs serious improvement. I'm not a fan of the other Bakhter, and this one is no better.
