Ordered qabli palow and chapli kebab, came here based on reviews for lunch from Manhattan. We were not disappointed, great food and service. Must try for all tourists and locals.

place is small and quiet but the food is pretty good. I must agree I also love their Qabli Polao. I remember going there few yrs ago for the first time with a friend for lunch. We didnt really expect the same quality as Bakhter or Kabul but we were pleased with the price, portion and the food.

Mash'Allah, my friends and I had a great experience here. All of the food was delicious, especially the Qabli Palow. There was a nice and quiet atmosphere with pictures of Afghan culture. And best of all the owner is a very nice and sincere brother who makes a point of serving only "zabihah halal" meat and prohibiting any alcohol in the restaurant; this is increasingly difficult to find these days. We had a big party and he generously brought us out a few complimentary and delicious appetizer dishes for us to enjoy. I highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite afghani places but its really for the their "Qabli Plaow" which consist of rice with raisons and carrots and lamb so tender you can pull the bone right out of the meat. I heard their Quail is good too. Chicken is a bit bland. Great price, nice folks.

As featured in the New York Times, this restaurant has good food at affordable prices. As far as specific dishes are concerned, try the Manto appetizer and the sweet lassi.
