With limited variety of INDOPAK restaurants in the town that we live in, a visit to a 'big' city means good food. We picked up kabobs and naan early in the morning for the rest of our family and brought them home. The woman at the counter assured that they were made fresh. We went in blind but thankfully they are good. Shalimar is owned by the same person as other establishments around Iselin (OAK TREE RD). All of the other places are good, I am happy to say Shalimar is pretty good. I cannot vouch for their buffet. The gripe that I have with this place is that they wanted to charge a 3% surcharge for CC. Strange!

Alhamdulillah, a very nice and clean place and the food was delicious, had tandoori Chicken leg for starters and chicken achari for mains. Topped it off with Kheer for desert. I recommend this place if you want to enjoy some home cooked food in a place open 24/7.

Nice place to go to. But not a NICE place to eat. Stale and tasteless food. This is my first and last visit.
