The most authentic and delicious Pakistani food in the US!
A good family restaurant to go to with ample parking space. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Their tandoori items are savory and have a decent variety. Their Afghani pulao and falooda are also very good. I have catered for an event with them and requested a tandoor at my place for fresh kulcha and chicken tikka. I must say that event was the talk of the town. The owners are Pakistani and serve 100% halal food
Sunshine Palace,Rt 27 Iselin, NJ is one of the finest places for enjoying indopakistan
I have been to this place a few times, but for some reasons their chicken kebab smell bad to me, and had bad experience with biryani once.
Their Kababs seem to be their best item. Some salan was better then others. Their prices are reasonable and it is a very small place. Their morning chola puri breakfast is decent as well.
I have always loved food here... They make it just delicious .... Their naan, raita, basically everything is awesome!
Great food Small space Grill tastes like back home Great karahis Must go just in a small group
I visited the restaurant with my family. The food was great. I loved their Tandoori grill platter, kadahi and Falooda. The service was great. We even did their outddor catering , which was amazing.
I loved the food at Sunshine. The recent rennovation at this place has created a great atmosphere for families to come together and eat. They make it their responsibility to provide excellent service and food.
Sun Shine Palace is a run down place and not clean at all. It is full of spiderwebs, dust and the area behind the counter is kept just unbelievably dirty. Food tastes So So and nothing to write home about. They keep a domestic kitchen style garbage bin near the door of the restaurant which always has some flies buzzing over it.
There is no sunshine at this Palace. I'm shocked that the number of stars other people have given. They must be family members or close acquaintenances. When we went, during peak time during a weekend, they had run out of the chicken tikka masala. No matter, we got another chicken curry, some tandoori kebabs, and samosas. They were all disappointing. Shalimar which has relatively poor reviews on this site is better. Goes to show you can't always trust reviews.
Had a family here with my family. We ordered chicken tikka, bihari and beef kababs, chicken karahi with nans. Food was fresh and very tasty. The amount was also sufficient and service was professional. Will definitely recommend it.
Just the best food n town. I have eaten n many cities, especially tandoori is by far superior. Their kababs, karahis, haleem r to die for. Price is v reasonable. Live to take my family everytime I'm n the vicinity.
We recently catered from them for a wedding. the wedding was over three hours away from the restaurant, but the food was absolutely delicious. We have gone to their restaurant many many times and have always enjoyed their scrumptious food. The restaurant is very small, and not much parking, so I would not recommend bringing a large party.
The food is wonderful. The owners were very nice. They have redecorated the place and it looks awesome. The kababs, naan, haleem, and biryani are the best in New Jersey. I always do catering with them because the prices are very rasonable.
Why are there two listings for this restaurant? The addresses are clearly the same.
Food is ok. Small seating area. Their naan are good though.
Our family along with all our friends always get catering from Sunshine Palace. The food is great and a lot better than others in the area.
Excellent food quality. One of the best desi restuarants in NJ. Service and ambience highly average.
We were staying in town to get some business done and We found this restaurant throught your site. We choose this place because of the good reviews. And the food actually would have been very good(if not excellant) except for one Major problem, it was Cold. I do not mean just not very warm. It was actually so cold I wondered how long it had been keep out. We did go there at 9:30pm but this site lists them open until 11:00 pm and 9:30 is far from an unusual time to eat at a desi restaurant. We took the food as take out, so I guess he thought we would heat it up when we got home. Except that we had said we would be taking it back to the hotel(5 mins away) And of course hotel rooms rarely have microwaves. Simply put if you eat here and you do not have access to heat the food yourself, do not take food to go. I think this was probably just an odd thing and we probably would have enjoyed the food a lot if it were not sooo cold. But this restaurant left me longing for my favorite restaurant back home in Georgia.
Recently had a catering with them, Awesome food & good service. Would love to do catering again!
we frequent this place atleast once a month......food is already pepared and they just warm it for u...although i prefer my food to be made from scratch....there chicken tikka masala, chicken boti, kebabs, haleem and biryani are the best that they have to offer....they do catering aswell....not much of a dine in place..but more of a take out......
Generally good food. Not consistant in their quality. Prices are a on a tad higher side. But keeping in mind the generally bad quality of desi foods in this area, this is more reasonable.
the haleem here is to die for, its sooo good the best i ever had, also the chicken briyani, and service is good too very nice ppl
Okay, the people are nice, I havent been there in over 6 months, however my family and I have gone there a few times and generally the food is good, chicken tikka I liked every time I've had it, and the chili chicken is good every time. You have to be careful about the kababs from time to time, either they have an odor or are undercooked. Nicely priced...typical pakistani joint.
I really like the food here...and the service is pretty good. The place is not big on ambiance, but the food is good!
Excellent Food.. I went there few times. and i wana go there again and again.. Really good food.. small place but good service. and they play GEO TV or ARY, which is good for Paki people.. Very nice.. I like it..great food
Good and tasty food with reasonable quantity and very reasonable price. Mr. Asif and Shahid are very courteous.
Excellent food, fresh, and clean. been here a few times and love the food.
A quaint charming lil place, not too far away from Oak Tree Road (a.k.a Desi Road,) yet far enough to get away from the too crowded atmosphere. There is not much in the way of dcor, simplicity is what can describe its interior decoration. People are quite appropriate when dressed casual. This is the second branch of a great tasting restaurant opened up about six months ago, they serve authentic "Pakistani Food" with real "Karachi Taste". Nihari, Haleem and Paye seem to be their specialties. Chicken Tikka and Beef Seekh Kabobs are mouth watering matter of fact their "Chicken Tikka" is a must-try dish. To my surprise this restaurant does serve "Tawa-Parathas" unlike most of its competitors on Oak Tree where you can only find "Tandoor Parathas" (Basically Naan with butter on it) The staff is exceptionally friendly and seem to care about the customers. The food is serve buffet style however its not "All you can eat". If you are new to this restaurant, I recommend you to try one of their platters (Platter # 3 and/or # 4.) On occasions they have specialty dishes e.g: Shrimp Jalfaraizi. It's a great place for Pakistani food. In short, it indeed is a ray of sunshine within the darkness that categorizes the Oak Tree road atmosphere.
Good Pakistani/ Indian food-away from the parking nightmare of Oaktree Road! Not a bad option for a change of taste. Halwa-Chole-Puri breakfast on the weekends.
