I indulged in the chicken tikka and lamb biryani, and to describe the experience as merely “amazing” would be a gross understatement. The chicken tikka was exquisitely marinated, each morsel impossibly tender, imbued with layers of smoky char, aromatic spices, and a depth of flavor that spoke of patience, mastery, and culinary reverence. The lamb biryani was nothing short of transcendent: long-grain basmati rice perfumed with saffron and whole spices, interwoven with succulently braised lamb that collapsed at the slightest pressure, releasing a richness that lingered long after each bite. It stands, without exaggeration, as the finest Indian cuisine in the Midlands, a benchmark against which all others must now be judged. My friend, meanwhile, ordered the paneer butter masala, and from the very instant it crossed his lips, it was clear he had encountered something extraordinary. The paneer was silken and indulgent, enveloped in a luxuriant, velvety tomato-butter gravy that balanced sweetness, acidity, and spice with near-mythical precision. The flavors detonated across his palate in a euphoric cascade, overwhelming his senses and ushering him into a state of pure, unfiltered bliss. It was, tragically and poetically, his final meal. May he rest in peace, forever cradled in the afterglow of impeccable seasoning.
