Food was excellent here, but not very spicy. Note that I don't think they have a halal cert. They do mention that all meat is from halal sources, but this is written by the owners directly, who are non-Muslim. This is an issue in general for the Malaysian restaurants in Wellington. We didn't see any with proper halal certs or owned by Muslims, but generally ate there when they claimed they were halal and didn't sell pork. There is another Malaysian restaurant across the street from this one that sells Penang food with halal chicken supposedly. The kebab and Indian restaurants in Wellington tended to have halal certs if you are more strict on this. As Malaysians we were comfortable if the owners were from Malaysia and knew what halal was and its importance but was less comfortable with non-Muslim owners from non-Muslim countries saying it was halal
