Was on a business trip to Montreal and needed a halal restaurant to eat dinner. Googled \"halal restaurant Montreal\" and this place popped up. What attracted me right away was the convenient location downtown and the fact that it had a beautiful website. When I went, it didn\'t look like much from the outside and definitely didn\'t look like much on the main floor. When they told me to go to the upstairs, it was beautifully designed and really spacious. I ordered the Saffron chicken & rice plate which came with lentil soup and pita bread. I also ordered the Poutine because that\'s what Montreal\'s known for right? The service was really good as the server Dion was very friendly and very upfront as to the Zabihah sources the place uses. All the chicken is hand slaughtered from local farms while the beef and lamb are also hand-slaughtered, but sourced from New Zealand. The food was absolutely amazing. They give a lot of food and it was really tasty and cooked well. The soup was great and the Poutine was awesome and they give a lot of it. Couldn\'t even finish the Poutine, it was just so much. At the end, they offer a complimentary Moroccan tea which caps off a fantastic dinner. The place was clean, the washrooms were clean and a hockey game was on the TV available in the dining room which keeps you entertained as well. Definitely highly recommend and will no doubt return to this place!

My wife and I love this restaurant. Whenever we visit MTL, we eat at this place most of the time. The middle eastern food on the western hemisphere. The most refine cuisine experience. They have upgraded the place with second floor in recent years.

Food was bland, but at least the meat was cooked properly. But the real downer was the TERRIBLE service - possibly the worst we've ever experienced. My husband and I walked into the restaurant with our kids, and no one greeted us. The guy at the cash register hollered and waved us upstairs, the server upstairs barely looked at us (and the place was nearly empty, its not like it was crazy busy or anything). We seated ourselves in a booth in the corner, at least he noticed us and brought menus. Things got progressively worse: Even though there were total of 6 in our party, we only got 4 plastic cups, 2-3 forks, and NO PLATES. Even after the food arrived, we practically had to beg the waiter to bring some plates. We sat waiting while the food got cold, and finally I just went up to the counter, grabbed some forks, and was about to grab some plates when I saw another waiter and asked him to do so. He gave me tiny bread plates (which I gave to the kids) but then had to insist on proper dinner plates for myself and my husband. Same thing when it came to asking for some ketchup. It was like we had to beg for service and proper utensils. The worst part is, when we were getting up to leave, my two year old was getting tired and making some noise (not screaming or anything, just whining) and one of the waiters made a nasty comment about kids, (all of whom sat quietly during the whole dinner). Unbelievable, considering the upstairs seating area is large, was not busy at all, and we were seated in the corner far away from any other people. We just put on our jackets and rushed out of there. Even my ten year old daughter was visibly upset by their unfriendly behaviour. Not a place I would go if you want proper service, or if you have kids. The food is mediocre. You can get far better food at other restaurants in the same neighbourhood, without the unfriendly service!

Great food quality, generous portions, great service and a nice sit down area. You can't go wrong if you're looking for a fast, reasonably priced meal in Downtown.

Great place, The food was so delicious that I ordered another main dish, the service was perfect I wish I can go there everyday, Very friendly employes , the owner knows everybody and he takes special attention to each client. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the area. Prices are very good compared to other places in the city. Clean bathrooms.

The best middle-eastern dining in downtown Montreal. Portions are very big so either share with a friend or come hungry. The chicken kabab is my favorite.

I like it, I go eat frequently there with my wife, situated in downtown, one dish is enough for two people.

Very delicious food. I eat often at this place when I go downtown. In Ramadan they have a special menu. Very reasonable prices. They recently expanded on two floors to accomodate more customers. Friendly staff.
