It became Shawarma Town now. I love this place. The value you get is absolutely amazing. They really stack up the plates here. Other places plates would be half as much as the amount they stuff their plates with. And the food is of great quality. It's not a busy place so sometimes the meat won't be as fresh but the guy at the counter will always tell you what's fresh if you ask! They have a nice sitting area with a TV, if you're with a bunch of guys. The chicken and beef is of great taste and I definately recommend this place. It may not be fresh all the not, but I still love this place!
Their shawarma sandwich was a bit on the spicy side and also i don't think they get many customers (since there's like million shawarma place on Bank St.) because the times i've been there there was no one else, which is why I think the food doesn't taste really fresh... Oh, and of all the shawarma places in Downtown Ottawa, this is the only one I saw selling meat pies. I didn't buy it. The sandwiches are expensive too. $5 compared to the $4 one you get just down the road...
Went here for the first time with the husband. We were craving shawarma, and this place looked nice and the food looked good! I got the medium mixed platter while my husband got the mixed shawarma. The food was delicious and fresh. My husband's only complaint was that the sandwich was a little dry and needed more sauce, but other than that, it was great! My main complaint about this restaurant is the bathroom for the women. The stalls are extremely small, and if I had been a bigger woman, I wouldn't have been able to get in. The door is in dire need of fixing. It's broken and I had to jimmy it and lift it in order to close and lock it. There were no sanitation bins inside the stall for disposal of feminine products, only the garbage outside the stall by the door which is extremely awkward.
