We have been many times over the years. It is a shame that Satay house is probably the most expensive Malaysian restaurant around. It always has been. It is also not always authentic, catering to the tastes of too many non-Malaysians. Many items on the menu are really out of place. There is increasingly good competition so I see almost no reason to go again.

I wasn't over bawled over by the food at Satay House. To me it could have been a little bit better. I think I would go for a dry noodle dish if I were to go again (going by what my companion had). I highly recommend the rose syrup and lime drink we had, for that I would definately return, it was yummy, and refreshing. I also enjoyed the warm atmosphere there, and would highly recommend the seating downstairs, which is more spacious, warm, and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are clean, and modern. I also loved the decor with the painted hibiscuses, and the ambient lighting.

The food here is excellent though a bit pricey. The kway teow and the nasi goreng are tasty. Good selection of dishes to eat with plain rice as well.

Food is outstanding, people (especially the owner) are really nice. It is a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for! Kway Teow is my fav.

Tasty halal Malaysian food. Probably as close as you can get to authentic Malay food. Everything I have had tastes good. However it does get busy and the service is very slow.
