Good food, the waiter assured us it was halal. I had the Ali Nazik (cubes of lamb on top of an aubergine and yogurt purée) and it was really good. The highlight thought was tea and dessert: kunefe! Fresh and crisp. I do wish they had more traditional Turkish dishes like Iskender kebab.
We chose the lamb shish and lentil soup, and both were very good. The location of the restaurant is excellent, and the staff were attentive and efficient. It was one of the most comprehensive and impressive Turkish restaurants in central London, offering a wide variety of dishes. The only issue was that the ventilation inside was slightly insufficient; there was a mild food smell — not unpleasant, but it can linger on your clothes. If this is addressed, it would be a flawless place.
