Great food, the buffet is really good - surprisingly very fresh! I\'ve been going here for 15 years, quality has been consistent.

My wife and I have been trying to find a good halaal buffet in the Chicago area, figured we'd give this place a try. Immediately upon walking into this place it felt like we were walking into the hotel from The Shining. We both got a very strange vibe from this place, not exactly sure what it was or why, but it just had this eerie feeling to it. The dining room was very dimly lit, but not in a good way like you would get at an Italian place or something. It just felt creepy. The food was okay but some of it had clearly been sitting out for quite a long time, as it was dried out with skin on top. Not very appetizing. The food wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't worth the $17 per person price they were charging. They also have a sign posted near the buffet that says they will charge an extra $10 per pound of uneaten food that is left on your plate. I'm all for trying to reduce waste, but this is a bit pretentious and audacious. In retrospect, I'm also doubtful as to whether or not the food actually is halaal. There's a full bar in the same room as the buffet, so I'm not sure why a restaurant owner would go through the trouble of sourcing halaal meat if they're just going to serve alcohol. Also found a review on Zabihah.com also expressing doubt about whether the meat is indeed halaal. Definitely would not return here or recommend it to others simply because of the high price without the food quality to earn it.

Good place to have dinners, menu prices are reasonable. Weekend buffet are little pricey but foods are very tasty.

There is always controversy on the \'halalness\' of the food here at Reza\'s over the years i\'ve asked them multiple times and they always assured it is halal. I wish someone would get some solid evidence or they would provide some solid evidence to close this matter once and for all. I\'ve been here multiple times, lately frequent the lunch buffet at this location and downtown, the selection here is not as bigger as the downtown location. Everything is fresh and tasty and worth the $13+tax for all you can eat kababs.

I went their a couple of times however when the waiter advise food was not halal. I stopped going. Next time if I go I will ask for halal certificates otherwise will report them since it is illegal to say zabihah halal in Illinois if not proven.

I called and the staff assured that everything is Zabihah Halal except for the quail dish. They also have proof available. The food is excellent, and their buffet is really great. Highly recommended.

Did anyone confirm the halal authenticity I know tons of people who go to this restaurant and grilled the staff myself. It is muslim staff and they said it is halal, do we need more authentication? I thought that was enough and went ahead and tried their food. I also came back for their buffet, each time meeting more and more muslims there. The food was great, though v expensive, but buffet is a great deal.
