Best desi restaurant in the area. Nan and biryani are the best. Our choice in this area when passing by"¦

The food is acceptable and fairly consistent. But the service is problematic. If they got better wait staff the experience would be better. But right now we tend to avoid and go elsewhere because we don't feel like dealing with their service.

Been here a few times and they never disappoint. The food is always great. Even though I live a good 50 miles away when I'm in the area the family ask that I stop by for take away. Decor is a little dated and run down but the food more than makes up.

Food items are on the spicy side (as can be expected from a restaurant with this name). Every time we come here for dinner, half the items on the menu are not available. So its best to call and ask if anything you might want is "available".

We tried their Aloo samosa, behare kebab roll and Haleem and Nehari. Samosa was very spicy, Behare kebab roll was good and tasty juicy and tender beef pieces wrapped in Naan. Haleem was very delicious and well prepared as well. Nehari was taste less and bland.

Had a few time.. Lamb chops chillis platter and and karai Gosh is really good also the lamb chops; food is ok reasturant is overly hyped here in the valley food is nothing special. Also it is very pricey they charge more then they should for the food cause the food again is nothing special here. Customer service sucks sometimes and sometimes it good depends on who you get as a server.

My name is Ali, from Michigan. I came to LA for a week. Unfortunately, I knew about this restaurant in the middle of the week. Since we knew about it, we started to eat in this restaurant the rest of the week left. The food is more than great. The price is just right. The hospitality we had was extravagant. They have a waiter his name is Mohammed. I have never seen such waiter in my life like him. Plus the good food we had in the restaurant, we are coming to this specific restaurant because of Mohammed. Arabs like Mandi and Bukhari, if you do, don't miss this restaurant. I came from Mi where lots of Islamic restaurants are. Yet, I have never ate in such Halal restaurant like this one. I recommend to try Haleem (just like Harees to Arabs) but in a little bit liquid. Try Mandi, Bukhari, Nahari try all the menu and won't regret it. I wish them all specifically Mohammed and the owner of the restaurant all the best.

Salaams, I stopped by at Red Chilli's Halal today. I was not pleased. i ordered two completely different curries, but both were cooked exactly in the same sauce. Just that one had meat and one had fish. Also the taste was bland with and over abundance of tomato peels. My wife ordered the Philly cheese steak and while the sauce was ok, the beef was overcooked, burnt, and difficult to chew. When we talked to the waiter about how were were not satisfied with the food, he only laughed and said this was how they cooked. I also felt the quality of food as well as the portions were not worth the price. Needless to say we wont be returning to this restaurant. My intention with this review isn't to criticize, but I feel that they could work on the taste of their food and customer service.

It was okay for my first time i would probably go back again. did not experience slow service, everyone was very very nice. I didnt get sick. ive had better paki/Indian food but it wasnt Halal. One thing that i did find odd was that the drinks came in styphoam cups and the water came in regular cups. Every one does things different and thats what makes it that more unique. However, it was overall good for me until i experience a bad moment.

Just tried to get some food to go once, forgot to bring my own containers. They only had DART foam containers which are not Halal. Dart clearly mentions that they use Animal Tallow in their containers see link below. The owner was not aware that DART is not Halal, he tried to defend his stand saying all restaurents use this. http://www.dart.biz/web/environ.nsf/pages/health-safety.html This has been my only experience, never tried their food yet.

Recently visited the restaurant with a group of 15 people. Although, we had not made any reservations and the place was packed, still we were accommodated in a fairly short time and the service very fast and good. The food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. I have moved from Chicago to LA last year and had heard a lot about this restaurant. I was surprised to find much better food here than the ones I had been to in Devon St. Very reasonable prices and ample quantity. Highly recommended.

When I first ate at this restaurant, I loved it. Not only was the decor beautiful and the food decent, but the service was fast and friendly. Now I am changing my rating because we have given them the benefit of the doubt by eating at their restaurant roughly 10 times and each time seems to get worse. The service is INCREDIBLY slow! And since there is only one worker he will go answer the phone half way through taking your order. Additionally, the food is not even good anymore. Finally, I think it is extremely disgusting for Muslim privacy issues that the bathroom is SHARED for men and women WITHOUT A LOCK! That really bothers me. As I took my daughter into the restroom and there was a man in their using it..........

I regularly dining at this restaurant since it has opened, and it has only gotten better. The food is extremely tasty and authentic, as a lot of people have mentioned. (Chicken Tikka Masala is a MUST-have) The serving is more than sufficient and I almost always find myself taking it to-go. Service is hardly a problem unless you're expecting fast-food level of responsiveness on a packed weekend night. Overall, my experience of the restaurant is exceptional because of several reasons: Excellent value for money (I'm a college student), and attention to customer feedback. As a afterthought, I'd also like to bring to light a certain trend of overly harsh critique fellow Muslims give to restaurants at Zabihah.com.. We as conscientious Muslims should understand that all restaurants serving halal meat are actually a generous service. So instead of nitpicking and giving a disproportionately low rating, we should be thankful we even have halal restaurants in our area. Ps. I'm no food critic, but here's a review in the LA times by one: http://articles.latimes.com/2010/sep/30/food/la-fo-find-20100930 Assalamo Alaikum

i love eating here. The food is yummy and the service is fair. Love their chicken tikka masala, bun kabab, karhai and biryani. We had food catered for a party from here and it was excellent. I hope they can add a small banquet hall so that people in the valley can throw parties here.

The food was excellent and reminded us of the food we used to eat in Karachi years ago. The decor of the restaurant is pretty good and the servers are polite. The prices are also very reasonable considering it is a dining restaurant. All in all great place to take your family & friends.
