A restaurant that brings you back home with the first bite. Starting from a small stall in Geylang Serai Market, Selera was blessed enough to open up a restaurant in Melbourne, Australia. Selera first opened its doors in 2003 and have been serving our lovely customers since then. Specialising in malay style dishes originating from Singapore. We have been known to served one of the best 'Nasi Lemak' in Melbourne. We whip up our sambal from scratch every week for optimum taste.
The owners are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.

Great taste, cozy environment
Very underwhelming lunch. The nasi campur was cold and with limited choices, mee rebus was bland, and lontong, so far the best dish, was under par as well. The lady serving us was unwelcoming and abrasive, I tried to speak to her in Malay but she still wasn't friendly. I think Springvale probably has better Malay food. Surprised that they can survive for 28 years. This shall be the first and last visit for us unfortunately.
