A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises.. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Originally known as Naan n Curry, Raavi has first opened its doors in 2012, since then it has become a favored destination for food lovers of various backgrounds and tastes.

Food was well spiced and the portion were huge! I would highly recommend this to anyone! The lamb briyani, lamb vindaloo and fish tikka masala were delicious
The name of this restaurant is changed to Raavi now. I tried their chicken biryani and chicken boti and both of them were americanized versions devoid of any spices.
A proper minimalist 'Desi' curry establishment. Description on the menu is in Urdu. It's like a smaller version of the 'Karachi' restaurant in Bradford U.K i.e a bit scruffy but the food is top notch! The menu is simple and they offer complimentary onion salad, green chillies and tea to compliment. We had chicken
Great food, nice welcoming staff. Agree with ZAGAT 's excellent rating.
Food was great! Chicken tikka was delicious! Chicken tandoori was spicy. Great service! I prayed salaat in a corner and the worker lowered the music for me without me asking. Very friendly and respectful. Great experience.
This place is terrible. Chicken tikka was nuked and not fresh, the dal was soso and the place itself quite dirty. There is a better Naan 'n Curry on 478 OFarrell Street.
Due to lot's of good reviews we went to this Resturant and were very disapointed, food was gross, chicken tikka masala had mold on the chicken, qeema naan was extremley smelly. Everything was gross. I will not reccomend anyone to go there, there are better Resturants in Sanfrancisco.
The best in SF. I recomend this great place to all my friends. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Tikka kabab and spinach dishes. The FREE tea is great and don't forget the naan (my favorite is potato).
We were visiting SF and came because of the excellent reviews.... The chai was wonderful, the roti was good, but the main courses were terrible. Karahi chicken was drumsticks, the chatni's were watered down... it was so disappointing...the owner was not very friendly and sat there complaining about different things happening in his personal life very loudly at the table next to us... I dont know if it was a bad day or what because our experiences are so contrary to everyone elses.
Al-hamdu lillahi, The food was fresh, hot, and tasty - Especially liked the tandoori chicken! This place is pretty clean and the service is good... If can't find street parking, have parking lot right next door.. Food was ready quickly and was cooked perfectly.. < Worth the visit >
Not much to look at but don't let that fool you. this place is always packed, and for good reason. food is way above average and prices way below. I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, quite exceptional.
Was in San Francisco on holiday and was taken to this restaurant by my sister who found it via this website. Place isn't too fancy, but the food is phenomenal! Excellent value for money.
today i had the pleasure of eating at the resturant along with my wife. the place is kinda simple and self service, which i think is a good thing and like somone previously mentioned, you dont spend time empressing anyone so you spend time EATING AND ENJOYING THE GREAT TASTING FOOD. the owner/counter manager is from Pakistan and a very nice person to talk to. the staff is simple and good too. the owner gave me free Mango Lassi to for Iftar, sorry no Dates at Iftari time. also theres free great tasting tea. Best of all me and my wife ate full heartedly and only had to PAY 15 DOLLERS,,,, i'm a happy customer.... TO THE MANAGER: Sorry i could not leave the tip at the counter, i was in great hurry to get back to Stockton.
Fantastic food. It came highly recommended by locals. I had the Saag Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala. The food was delicious. The Mango Lassi was good, as well
This place is great and the prices are low. It's very casual, you go to the counter and order your food and a short time later it's brought out to you. You pay at the counter after you eat. Every day there are three specials and at least one is a chicken dish. With the special you get an order of rice, a large piece of naan, and a bowl of dahl with the main course. A number of other items are also sold. The food is halal and they serve no alcohol. I live in the neighborhood and this restuarant has become my family's favorite.
I have gone to the one on Jackson Street and love the Daal Chicken.
Small neighborly place with a relaxed atmosphere - great eats in a not-so-great neighborhood. Extremely popular but never too crowded, very cheap and authentic - a place to eat up and not worry about impressing anyone. Long, long hours, friendly staff, free strong chai & a yummy selection of simple, spicy fares for both vegetarians & non-vegetarians.
