The food at the buffet are not all halal (they serve pork). You have to inform them that you are Muslims and require Muslim food, that's when they prepare the food that's available for you in the Muslim kitchen. The food is not bad, but there are better (and cheaper) options elsewhere.

as i would be going there for a co. trip we emailed the hotel to verify abt the muslim kitchen. A hotel staff replied that "the Baiyoke Sky DOES NOT have a Muslim kitchen but they have food available for Muslim (buffett style)"... so can i trust that it is OK to eat there?

It claims to be the first hotel restaurant in Bangkok to have a Muslim kitchen. DO NOT take the buffet if you have a meal there (they serve pork!). Call beforehand and tell them that you are a MUSLIM and want a halal meal. That's what I found out when I called to confirm that they do indeed have a muslim kitchen. My family and I were surprised with a very nice 6-course meal. The food is very tasty and the service pleasant. The price is not that bad considering the quality and service. And you also get a very nice view of downtown Bangkok because the restaurant is on the 78th floor. That's why it's called the Sky Restaurant!

I don’t usually write sub-par reviews, but I feel like I need to manage expectations for anyone considering this spot. To be blunt: I would absolutely not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family. While it’s a famous landmark, it feels like the hotel is cutting corners everywhere that matters. The Good • The Staff: Honestly the highlight of the stay. Super friendly and helpful throughout. • Room Size: Our room was large, which suited our needs at the time. If you need space, you’ll get it here. The Bad • Cutting Costs: Everything feels "less than average." Room service is basic at best, and the amenities provided were sparse and underwhelming. You definitely don’t feel like you’re getting a premium experience. • The Location (A Double-Edged Sword): If you love being in the thick of the hustle and bustle with chaos right outside your door, you might like it. However, if you prefer a bit of peace, easy access to taxis without a struggle, and not being constantly hustled the moment you step outside, stay somewhere else. Bottom line: It served a purpose for this trip because of the room size, but for the price and the "experience," there are much better options in Bangkok.
