The food here is quite good. I prefer to carry out though bc I find the restaurant is always packed and poorly lighted. However, we love their lamb biryani (its the best) and one order for 10-11 bucks will feed my husband, toddler, and myself. Definitely a must try.

This is the best restaurant in Bay Area for Indian food. The owners are from Delhi and cook the food themselves.

Good food, shoulder parking and hole in the wall expanded a lil restaurant, ordered mutton biryani, mutton curry n chicken tikka that tasted like shahi chicken for some reason, but overall good, a new business location would help a lot

Very slow service. Not that clean. Food is excellent but only go there if you have lots of time and don't mind unclean environment. I wish they would take care of the ambience as food price is very expensive. There was hardly any meat in my goat/lamb curry.

The service was really slow but the food more than made up for it. Really tasty Lamb chops and Chicken saag. The chops were quite unlike i have had for a while with desi spices and very tender. The naan was good along with kababs.

Salamu Aleikum, Great food. Tandoori is the best they say, and we agree. Bit crowded(like all places with great food), but overall good experience, the tall Ethiopian brothers that serve make it a fun experience! Behind Masjid Al Noor, sop you can pray as well. But please eat after the prayer:)

Excellent food! But very slow on service and even when you order on the phone they never pick up the phone then the order itself takes a long time too. Hmm but I still love it! I really wish their service was faster :/

BEWARE DECEPTIVE when it comes to carry out and catering! I used to go to this place they do have many good dishes. BUT they have very slow service and the food will be served in bit and pieces and not together at the same time. Also they are deceptive when it comes to Catering. I ordered Mutton Biryani. Took the food home to distribute to fasting friends. I later realized that there was bones but NO Meat. I was embarrassed as this is a meat dish and friends would think I was giving them leftovers. The Biryani was not up to the standard. When I called to complain to the owner Usman, he was extremely rude with me and hung up the phone. Not only was he rude he refused to accept my complaints. He refused to accept his mistake. He has no word politeness in his dictionary. In the past also he had given me burnt breads two times. Because he has a roaring business he does not care about it.

If you want some really good indo/pak food in santa clara, then this is the place. Food is excellent and awesome. The downside is that service is extemely slow and most of the time they run out of biryani/haleem/nahari during dinner. We were lucky enough to grab on to biryani and it was really good.

You gotto try Biryani. It is the best in US. Nobody makes biryani as good as kabab and curry. I usually eat sweep paan too. It gets crowded during lunch. You may not even get a seat if you go after 12.30.

I've been to at least 30 Indian restaurants in my life, so I'm pretty critical of Indian food -- this is hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant. The kababs here are the best (Chicken breast/leg quarter, both seekh kabab). I always enjoy the lamb curry that I have, too. If lamb biryani is being served, you're in for a treat. The other biryanis are great, too. Complaints about the portions are unfounded -- SO much food for the price. (I challenge you to have a plate of biryani and tell me you weren't super full afterward.)

I have been going here every since they opened up back in '01......Your typical "Mom and Pop" shop......Although the set-up is tight and the building is not that attractive it has really nice South Asian food.....I would say the best thing and the main thing to go for is the lunch and dinner buffet.....I believe that is only thing I have ever gone for --- as it is great food for a decent price.....This place is also only 1/2 a block from Masjid Anoor which makes it very convenient as well.

Many people recommended this restaurant recently to me and I went there last weekend. I think the food is good. Service really sucks though. I wouldn't say food is excellent but definitely better than most of the places around especially some overrated places. I definitely recommend this place to people. I had Chicken Tikka Masala and Aaloo matar and both were very good (recommended by a friend). I will like to try b b q items next time to see if they are good too.

The best and most authentic Indian muslim food in the bay area, period! I've been eating at this place even before I moved to the Bay area about 4 years ago and I still love it. They have the best chicken and Lamb Biryani I have had this side of the Pacific! The service is slow so I usually order takeout. The owners are very friendly and well known in the community. This also happens to be my son's (7yr) fav restaurant.

I've been here a few times and the food is consistently pretty good. I went here for the lunch buffet today, and agree with some of the other reviewers, that it gets very crowded and the service is a bit on the slow side, but not that bad. The food was tasty, but I did notice that the naan did not have butter on it...yes I'm being picky...but you start noticing these small details when you've been to as many Paki restaurants as I have. Also good to note that they do take credit card, although the owner told me they prefer cash for bills under $15.00 (the buffet was $8.00).

We have to been Kabab and Curry many times but always order to go since the service is slow. Food is excellent and they have the best Lamb Briyani in the Bay area. We always compliments with Lamb Kadai and Butter Chicken. If you want to order to-go, always call 1 hr in advance and expect to wait 15-30 mins before you get your order. Sometimes, they give your order to others who came late but insisted on their order. Owner is friendly but seem too busy to smile to customer. Highly recommended for any Muslim bro and sister.

I've been going to Kabab and Curry for years now, and honestly it's the best indian/pakistani food I've ever eaten. I tried other restaurants and I keep going back to KC. Everything is great, the tandoori chicken, korma, masala, nana...etc. The only thing I would have to say, is that the service is a little bit slow, specially when ordering to go. I'm not complaining, just an observation, and I understand they get many orders and it takes time to complete them. One suggestion is to add more items to the menu, such as a soup item (daal maybe), samosa, ...etc. I highly recommend the place. When you go there, you have to be patient with the service, but the quality of the food is unsurpassed. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The food is excellent but I'm giving it a low rating because the service stinks. You cannot sit in this place, it has no decor nor does it seem to have a ventilation system. Even if we wait there for five minutes for takeout we wind up smelling until our next shower. Even if you order on the phone, they will sell your portion to the next in person customer and give you a different dish when you come in... which is just stupid.

I was not at all impressed with this restaurant when I realized that on a Saturday night (which obviously shows a full house) there was only one man taking orders, phone calls, and cleaning up...the rest of the "employees" were happily conversing with people entering the restaurant..Other than that though, the food was quite good...

Consistently popular since it opened. If you don't see crowds coming in, you cannot mistake the captivating kabob aroma in the neighborhood. Nice variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. While the ambiance may not make it ideal for dinner with your CEO, the restaurant delivers on what it projects itself to be. A place for excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Went there 12/27/03. Ordered Tandoori chicken with naan, butter chicken and lamb curry. Tandoori chkn was awesome even just to look at, and it was definitely delicious. Naans were exceptional. The lamb curry was average while the butter chicken was reallllly good. There is a family room in the back if you have a large group and prefer some privacy. A masjid is about a minute's walk from there.

"The food is excellent. I work in the Santa Clara area and this place is an excellent choice for having lunch. The afore mentioned slow service does not come into play if you go there for their lunch buffets. Eat all you like and enjoy every morsel. Especially their "aalo-matar" dish. Excellent. I've only started liking this dish once I tried it here. Otherwise I'm a strict meat eater."
