As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
We’ve been coming to this location for about two years mainly because it’s convenient. Unfortunately, the experience has been inconsistent. There are only two staff members who consistently make great wraps, whenever someone else prepares them, the quality really drops. We’ve received wraps that are poorly assembled, sometimes not even fully closed, making them difficult to eat. On a few occasions, they’ve been torn open altogether. Beyond that, the wraps are often under-grilled, with uneven filling portions and lackluster flavor. The two-star rating is only because, when very rarely those two employees make our wraps, it’s genuinely good. Otherwise, the overall experience has been disappointing. UPDATE: This wrap was purchased at the Stittsville location, so my review wasn’t intended for an other location. Although this photo was taken a while ago and I didn’t get around to leaving a review at the time, I’ve decided to share my feedback now after consistently receiving such poor quality food. It used to be hit or miss, but lately the lack of quality has become much more consistent.
