As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
The food portions have gotten smaller over the years, which is a bit unfortunate. The OzBix might be more worth it, since it has a variety of food(the meat shawarma, the fries/rice, veggies,). Still, I like the On Rocks enough to get it again and again The scorching hot sauce, initially, is not super hot. I think Rideau's is a bit hotter, but this stuff is still really spicy (in a good way), so be warned...!!
