I had been driving by Pax & Beneficia for months, until one day I was seriously craving coffee after a long day of working from home. I was lucky to be able to catch then before they closed on a Sunday Fun Day afternoon in Deep Ellum, where they are located. The vibe inside the cafe is super modern, clean, calm. The menu is short and sweet, it's definitely not a place for TikTok themed, overly sugared coffees. This is for real coffee connoisseurs. I ordered the Turkish Coffee, which not many cafes have. Unfortunately, the machine wasn't boiling water after a couple attempts, so instead, I had the barista surprise me. He made a flat white and it was RICH but delicate, and comforting. It made me want to wrap my body around that cup (and it was even better because he said "just take both of them"). I definitely would come back with my laptop in hand to get some work done and enjoy a fine sip.
