Steven, a former hedge fund manager, and Robert, who had a background in fashion wholesale and retail, both missed the authentic fresh flavours of Mexican cuisine that they had grown up with in America.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. From corporate headquarters: 'The chicken at all GYG restaurants is Halal certified - a copy of the certificate can be emailed upon request. We do have Halal certified chicken across all our locations. We do however work with other non-Halal meats and we do not follow halal processes in the kitchen.'
Tasty Mexican food that's properly cooked and seasoned, freshly made and a menu that's a pleasure to choose from. The staff are always friendly, helpful and polite. This particular establishment has been well maintained and clean each time we've stopped by and is also in a convenient location for those visiting the cinema or just taking a meal break whilst shopping at Castle Towers. We've been dining here for some time but I keep eating the food and forgetting to photograph it... (* I'll make amends shortly and will update this review with more images after our next visit). A shout-out to Elise who is always a friendly highlight when we visit.
