I am a regular fan of Pepe’s and have always had a good experience at the South Wales branches, where the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, I recently visited the Ladypool Road branch in Birmingham with my family and some guests, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered five meals along with an extra drink. When we received our order, the extra drink was missing. I went back to the counter and politely informed the staff, but instead of checking the order, a staff member confidently insisted that everything had already been given to us. The way they spoke to me was rude and unprofessional. As a result, I paid again for the drink. Due to the staff member’s attitude, I later requested a full receipt of my order, which confirmed that I had already paid for the extra drink. In addition, we did not receive any of the dips that should have been included with our order. The manager handled the situation professionally and was helpful, but the staff member still refused to acknowledge their mistake, even after the issue was clarified. I am disappointed because this experience was completely different from the excellent service I have received at other Pepe’s branches. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously so that similar situations can be avoided in the future.
