I usually go to GYG Kotara, even though there’s a GYG much closer to my house, because the food here is normally consistently good. Unfortunately, this visit was a big let-down. I ordered two Cali burritos and one mini Cali burrito, but when I got home, one of the Cali burritos was the size of a mini. Effectively, I received two mini-sized burritos and only one proper Cali, despite paying for two full Cali sizes. On top of that, the chips were soggy and clearly not fresh. I understand the store wasn’t busy (I was actually the only customer at the time), but that shouldn’t mean serving old or soggy chips. I’ve always chosen Kotara because of the quality, but this experience was disappointing and not what I expect from this store. I hope this was a one-off and that portion control and food freshness are taken more seriously going forward.
